I’ve blogged a lot on embracing colours lately, whilst I am passionate about us updating ourselves with a zap of colour, when asked to create a simple elegant outfit today, I came up with a classic neutral and black palette, made exciting with subtle hints of ribbon, lace and feather all of which are totally in keeping with the embellishment trend.
What do you think?
Skulls and studs seems to be one trend which is not going away. Whilst designers have introduced feathers and fur to their collections, all across the high street, you will still see a Sid Vicious homage and I love it!
Whether you go all out punk rocker or just add a touch of it to a girlie outfit, this look creates an impact and looks fantastic. Continue reading

I much prefer Autumn/Winter trends to those of Spring/Summer. As lovely as the bright colours of SS are, I almost always end up spending the summer in shorts and vests because the heat (not that we’ve felt much of it this year) demands comfort and bare skin. One of the AW trends I’m completely obsessing over is a gothic glam look as seen on the catwalks of Versace and Roberto Cavalli. If you ever bought a pair of Alexander McQueen Skull Embellished Pumps it’s definitely time to bring them out of storage. Continue reading
We all have times where we have either piled on a few pounds, or at least feel as if we have, and could do with a bit of a boost. Of course, healthy eating and regular exercise will help to keep you in good shape, but sometimes we just need a quick fix or an ego boost. Here are my top 5 ways to feel like you’ve lost weight without eating cabbage for a week. Continue reading
Lately I’ve been thinking about colour analysis and if it still has a place in fashion. Personal stylists often offer colour analysis as a service – it’s function is to determine which colours suit you based on skin tone and hair colour. Rarely do people stand back, look in the mirror and think “does this colour actually suit me?”. Shopping in H&M recently I came across a group of teenagers maybe 16 or 17 years old who were up to date with their fashion trends but didn’t seem to care about the colour washing them out or the style being wrong for their bodyshape. As long as the garment was “on-trend” then that was alright by them. Continue reading
Are you feeling feisty? A great way to wear some of the strong looks out there at the moment is to soften it with a hint of a sweeter colour.
This outfit has some really strong touches, especially The Great Frog skull necklace, but toned down with a touch of baby pink and gorgeous Iron Fist pumps with ribbons, the outfit becomes less Sid Viscous and more Sexy Vixen.
Play about with styles and colours and you will be amazed at the results.
As you have probably guessed, I am shoe obsessed. I own over 100 pairs (all neatly laid out on special shelves) and I can spend hours trawling the internet engaging in a bit of shoe lust; but I am convinced that asides from being beautiful shoes can actually be good for your mood!
Not convinced? Hang in there with me and I will prove it to you! Continue reading
Feeling a bit edgy but want to still show your feminine side? This outfit is perfect for you, from the cute biker jacket to the fantastic Iron Fist pumps, this outfit is for the girly girl that packs a punch!
I am a self confessed heel lover, almost every pair of shoes I own have at least a 5cm heel. However, recently I have seen some really cute pumps which I feel may be able to convert me out of my heels and into flats!
As much as I adore heels, practically flatties are so much better for a long day shopping, travelling or if you work on your feet so I have been on a hunt to find some of the prettiest flats around. Continue reading
